Colonics - Safe? Or Natural?
Colon irrigation, colon therapy, colon hydrotherapy are different methods of the same procedure.
The Colon
The colon is the tubular organ that carries the fecal matter to the rectum. It is lined to absorb nutrients. The colon functions by absorbing the nutrients and expelling the waste material. The absorbed nutrients are sent back to the blood stream.
Necessity of colonics
When the colon does not function well it leads to accumulation of waste material. This uneliminated waste accumulates and hardens. The hardened fecal matter lines the intestinal walls.
Hardened fecal matter is auto toxic, in the sense the waste turns toxic. The blood absorbs this toxicity. This makes a person sick.
Colonics steps in as a remedial measure in such a situation. Even a seemingly healthy person needs colonics for his colon contains waste accumulated over the years.
The procedure
Colonics works on a simple principle. A rubber tube is inserted into the rectum. Temperature controlled water is sent into the colon. The water swirls around. It gently dislodges the accumulated waste.
After a few seconds, another tube is inserted and this draws out the water along with the fecal matter.
This procedure has to be repeatedly performed till the colon is completely clean.
Benefits or advantages of colonics
The hazards of colonics
Doctors hold a different viewpoint. Colonics are totally unsafe.
Colonics Safe? Natural?
Colonics; are they safe and natural? This question remains unanswered. An in depth study of the subject is required to answer this question. Till further studies reveal it is better to leave this therapy unpracticed.
Nature has put checks and balances in place. The working of nature should never be interfered with. Nature can be assisted but not tampered with.
Nature can be assisted by a good diet - rich in fiber and low in fat. This should keep the colon fighting fit. This coupled with exercise is enough to make the colon last a lifetime.
